Overview
For those keep to develop their freestyle skiing, whether they`re starting out or are seasoned experts, our freestyle ski camp is the place to be. While Northern Hemisphere skiers are battling it out on dwindling summer snow supplies, you can enjoy true winter conditions and tons of space at one of the world's best terrain parks. In addition to quality super pipes, jumps and rails ( shaped daily by the official X-Games shaper), you will enjoy expert coaching, stylish accommodation and the breathtaking scenery of New Zealand's South Island. You'll also have the chance to go heli-skiing and visit New Zealand's best powder resort.
Beginners
Our freestyle camp is not suitable for those who have never skied. If you are confident skier but are new to freestyle, however, this skiing camp is ideal for you. Our instructors are experienced in introducing skiers to freestyle and will teach you at your own pace, in a relaxed and non-intimidating way. They will start by teaching you fundamentals of freestyle – how to ollie correctly, how to ride switch and how to execute smooth 360 slides. They will then introduce you to the various disciplines of freestyle: rails, jumps and half pipe. Our terrain includes small rails and jumps and a beginner pipe that are all ideal for starting out with freestyle. Our coaches will teach you the correct techniques for approaching these disciplines and will work with you to build your confidence and skill. They will also provide you with everything you need to know so you can continue to learn and improve long after you leave our camp. Freestyle skiing can be quite intimidating for those who have never tried it, but with the right instruction and encouragement you'll find that you'll be hitting the park and pipe with confidence in no time at all !
Intermediate
Our intermediate program is designed to ensure that intermediate skiers optimize their overall freestyle technique, develop their style, and challenge their performance. At the beginning of our skiing camp we'll assess your particular development needs and then work with you to achieve them. If appropriate, we'll work with you to develop the skills that are fundamental to freestyle – ollies, switch skiing and 360 slides. You'll then be free to work with your instructor on whatever skills or disciplines interest you most. Many of our campers come with specific tricks that they wish to develop while others simply wish to improve their overall freestyle performance. Either way, our expert instructors will help you to reach your goals. To support your development, we'll provide evening video coaching and informal evening workshops on such topics as injury prevention and waxing and tuning. To minimize your chance of injury, we will start each day with a warm-up session targeted specifically to snowboarders.
Advanced
Our advanced program is for freestyle skiers who are very proficient riders and who would like to learn certain freestyle tricks, or who are looking to push their riding by skiing with world-class athletes. During our skiing camp, you will be accompanied by a professional or former professional skier who can help you with whichever skills you wish to develop, be perfecting your style or learning a new trick. These coaches will provide you with all the tips you need to develop your riding long after the trip is over. As with intermediate level skiers, we will film you during the day and analyze the footage with you in the evening to provide you with additional feedback and tips. There will also be informal evening workshops on such topics as injury prevention and waxing and tuning.

Terrain
The terrain for our freestyle camps is as good as many Northern Hemisphere's best winter terrain parks and is better than anything you'll find there in the summer. With two perfectly-shaped super pipes and a beginner pipe, a huge quarter pipe, a 15ft/5m wall ride, several kicker lines and tons of rails, it has everything you've dreamed of and more. If you're just starting out in freestyle, there are numerous small kickers and beginner rails to get you going. For the more experienced, there's everything from a 115ft/35m kicker to a 65ft/20m curved rainbow to keep you challenged. The rail park for our freestyle snowboard camps is extensive with flat rails, s-boxes, kinked rails and rainbows of all heights and lengths. The terrain park is shaped daily by the official shaper fo the X-Games park and pipe and stays in good condition all day thanks to the winter conditions. If you are serious about accessing quality freestyle terrain this summer, you can't go wrong with our New Zealand snowboard camps !
In addition to the terrain park, you'll also have access to the terrain at two local freeride resorts, including the resort that was recently named 3rd Best Resort in the World. When the powder's good, those looking for some fresh tracks will love these resorts.

Accommodations
The goal of our trips is to give you the most memorable experience possible and this extends to our choice of accommodation. For our freestyle camp, we have selected the coolest, funkiest, most comfortable accommodations we could find. We will stay in some of the classiest accommodation in Wanaka – modern, stylish houses with large kitchens, living rooms, TVs and DVD players. The houses sleep 4-10 people, with 2-3 people per room. Most have spectacular views of lake Wanaka and the surrounding mountains and all are within walking distance of the Wanaka town center.
Wanaka is a laid-back ski town that provides the ideal base for our ski camps. The town is small but lively and provides a wide selection of restaurants, catés and bars. It's also home to hot springs, an awesome skatepark and the world's coolest movie theatre!
If you want to use our skiing camps to get to know some awesome people and to enjoy some memorable nights out, there are always plenty of willing participants and plenty of things to do ! Every night we'll book a restaurant for those who want to eat as a group. Wanaka is home of tons of excellent, reasonably priced restaurants with food for every taste: from Japanese, Indian and Thai to Italian, Chinese and Fish and Chips ( budget around US$ 12 – US$28 per day for lunch and dinner). After dinner the choice is yours, you can hit the bars, watch a movie, head to a café, or just rent a video and chill at home. In either case, prepare to enjoy some memorable nights and delicious food during our skiing camps !
