Terrain

Kamtchatka is a volcanic peninsula of 1250 kilometers long situated in the east of Russia in between the Okhotsk sea and the Bering sea. Also between the peninsula and the pacific ocean stretches the Kouriles-Kamtchatka which reaches a depth of 10500 meters. From this aquatic trench comes a cold and wet climate which carries and maintains a huge quantity of snow all year long.

The central Valley and the Kamtchatka river are surrounded by a large mountain range with more than 160 volcanoes, of which 29 are still active!! The highest peak is called Klioutchevskaïa Sopka (4575m) but the most famous are the three volcanoes of Petropavlovsk-Kamtchatski : Koriakski, Avatchinski and Kozelski. In the center of Kamtchatka, there is the unique valley of geysers from the entire Asian European continent!!! A fascinating phenomenon which offers a certain idea of what goes on underneath our feet, in the heart of our planet.

Security & Guide

In order to heliski in total security in this volcanic region, we offer a specialized standard of guiding: one group consists of a maximum of seven skiers/boarders accompanied by a local guide and a guide UIAGM.

Given that two groups use one helicopter, there are always four qualified people present whilst you are flying and skiing. Your security is our primary concern.

The helicopters which we use are the MI-8, the most constructed model in the world. They have a very strict and frequent inspection protocol. They are equipped with 20 passenger seats, 2 pilots and a mechanic, which make up the on board team.

In comparison with the biggest Canadians agencies which offer heliskiing, generally being 4 groups of 11 skiers using the same helicopter, we offer a ratio guide/skier more personal which reaches a more exclusive service. We benefit from the fact that we have a helicopter reserved exclusively for us! Once in the region, there are no restrictions concerning the landing of our helicopter other than the weather conditions.
