Overview
Our 2 weeks road trip has been
planned specially for those crazy for powder snow,
mountains and endless winters. Anyone looking
for strong sensations, adventure and the experience
of discovering new places, will absolutely love
this program. Skiers, snowboarders, freeriders
or freestylers… grab on to this unforgettable
experience and join our Chilean team in this amazing
adventure through the beautiful continent of South
America!!!
We have chosen a unique itinerary that will take
you to explore different places throughout the
country, visiting the most beautiful spots and
the best ski centers in Chile. Not only will you
be skiing on the second largest range of mountains
in the world, but you’ll also be descending
an active volcano, surrounded
by extraordinary landscapes, places you won’t
find anywhere else in the world. You’ll
love this Latin American experience with its unique
culture and all it has to offer!
Our team speaks 4 languages (French, German, English
and Spanish), plus they know the region like the
palm of their hand, so they’ll be happy
to answer any questions you may have and, of course,
make you feel as comfortable as possible in this
Latin American country.

Terrain
Thanks to a very well planned
itinerary, in two weeks you’ll be able not
only to ski in most of the best ski centers in
Chile, but you’ll also have the opportunity
of discovering the country along the way.
We have planned a trip that measures up with the
Chilean Andes!
During this trip, we will be
visiting the following ski centers:
La Parva / El Colorado / Valle Nevado / Pucón-Villarica
/ Termas de Chillán, not to mention of
course the capital, Santiago de Chile.
La Parva, El Colorado
y Valle Nevado: together they form the
¨Domain of the Three Valleys¨, located
an hour away from Santiago. Due to their proximity
to Santiago, they are the most visited centers
in Chile. And thanks to their geographical location
and altitude, these 3 centers offer excellent
sun and snow conditions. In El Colorado you’ll
be able to experience the most beautiful sunsets,
or perhaps wait a bit longer and by night contemplate
the illuminated immensity of Santiago.
La Parva: if
you enjoy steep slopes and endless powder snow,
you’ll fall in love with La Parva. Its changing
relief adds difficulty, but also excitement to
this centre. You’ll be able to practice
really extreme free rides, just a quick walk away
from the main tracks; Even though this off piste
is quite close by, it allows you to relax from
the crowd and still catch the ski lift in time
for your next descent! Your guide will be happy
to take you to these extreme spots and tell you
all you need to know about security and risk prevention.
The ski area covers 38 square kilometers and offers
10 skilifts, 2 quadruple chairlifts and 1 triple
and 1 double chairlift that lead you to 30 different
tracks (the longest one is 4 Kms long), forming
a 9673 meter long network.
El Colorado:
its lower area is perfect for beginners, but this
centre also offers tracks ideal for those who
love carving. This is exactly the reason why many
ski teams use the surrounding areas for training.
They have by far the best snowpark in Chile, which
is also one of the best in South America. If you’re
still in the learning process, here you’ll
be able to try out rails and jumps for the first
time or perhaps practice your figures in bigger
modules.
The ski area covers 40 square kilometers and offers
22 tracks: 11 for beginners, 4 for intermediate
skiers, 3 for advanced skiers and 4 for experts.
The longest track is 4,3 Kms long. The centre
also has 19 skilifts: 2 double chairlifts, 3 triple
chairlifts, 12 skilifts and 2 for children, all
of which added up becomes a 15.650 meter long
network!
Valle Nevado: is the most developed
centre in this area. It´s also the only
centre in South America that offers a halfpipe,
a boardercross and a snow park!!! This is why
each year the world cup (FIS) is held here. The
ski area offers you over 37 Km in tracks, some
of them starting at an altitude of 3600 m.a.s.l.
You’ll have loads of guaranteed off pistes
to choose from and different tracks for skiers
and riders of any level of experience. This centre
has 4 chairlifts, including the unique Express
Chairlift (the only high speed detachable quad
chairlift in Chile), 4 skilifts and two for beginners.
Pucón: this centre offers
you the unique opportunity of descending an active
volcano, named Volcán Villarrica. Pucón
is located 800 km south from Santiago, in the
so called ¨Lake Zone¨, one of the most
beautiful places in Chile. And not only will you
find lakes scattered all around the place, but
you’ll also enjoy the beauty of the Araucaria,
a very particular tree that grows throughout this
region, also called ¨monkey nightmare tree¨
or ¨rasta tree¨. Due to its geographical
location, Pucón is located at a lower altitude
than the other centres, (approximately 2800 m.a.s.l).
Still, thanks to the cold climate, the snow is
quite abundant and of excellent quality.
The landscape in Pucón is simply extraordinary:
from the tracks you have a breathtaking view of
the lakes and volcanoes surrounding the area.
Pucón is also a very developed ski station,
offering loads of different activities from trekking
over volcanoes to simply relaxing in hot springs.
The ski area has 9 ski lifts and chairlifts that
lead you to 20 different tracks. One of the unique
things about this centre is that century after
century, the lava has created a very particular
relief, shaping the landscape and forming hundreds
of small hills and cavities that are genuinely
natural halfpipes! Skiing in Pucón is truly
a unique and unforgettable experience!!!!
Termas de Chillán
is located between Santiago and Pucón.
When the weather conditions are good, this centre
is by far our favorite for freerides. Termas de
Chillán offers you the largest amount of
snow in Chile and after walking just a couple
of meters you’ll encounter amazing runs
of powder snow. Another great thing about this
centre is all the different things (besides skiing)
you can do: trekking over the two volcanoes that
stand behind the tracks, or perhaps trough the
woods or even visit a typical Chilean village.
And if you still don’t think this is too
good to be true, Chillán also offers you
the longest track in Chile: over 3000 meters long!!!
The Centre has 5 chairlifts and 6 skilifts that
will take you to 25 different tracks.

Agenda
/ Itinerary
Day 1:
Welcome to South America! Welcome to CHILE! You
will arrive at the Arturo Merino Benitez International
Airport, where our team will be waiting for you.
From the airport, a private bus will drive you
directly to the “El Colorado” apart-hotel,
where you’ll be staying for 3 nights. You’ll
have time to settle in and adjust to the new time,
before enjoying your first South American meal.
On the first night we’ll have plenty of
time to tell you a bit more about the program
and of course, get to know each other better.
Day 2, 3:
The adventure begins!! After a scrumptious breakfast,
we can finally head towards the essential part
of our trip: the mountains. We will spend our
first day on the “El Colorado” tracks,
located right outside the hotel entrance; you’ll
be putting on your equipment only 5 meters from
the front desk!
These relatively easy tracks are ideal for everyone
on the first day. How ever, if you are too impatient
to wait, you can head directly to the best snow
park in South America.
The next day, our bus will take you directly to
La Parva, located just 10 minutes away from El
Colorado. Due to the steeper slopes and the added
difficulty of this centre, you’ll have the
chance to push your limits a little further. At
the end of each day we’ll take you back
to the Hotel, in time to enjoy the happy hour,
or perhaps play some pool or just relax in your
room watching TV.
Day 4:
After breakfast at the Hotel, our bus will take
you to the famous Valle Nevado Ski Centre. The
trip may take a while, but its impressive ski
area, makes it definitely worth it. We have chosen
to visit this centre on a weekday, precisely to
avoid the crowds one usually encounters on weekends;
we too hate waiting in line for too long! After
our last day at the ¨Domain of the Three Valleys¨,
our driver will take us back to the city of Santiago.
If you’re up for it, it’ll be perfect
for enjoying the ¨santiaguino¨nightlife.
Our Hotel in Santiago is located close to most
of the interesting urban attractions, including
the ¨Giratorio Restaurant¨, a panoramic
restaurant (360° of view) located on the 16th
floor of a building. An extraordinary gastronomic
experience you wont forget. The rest of the night
you a free to go out and have some fun, or just
go back to the Hotel and relax.
Day 5:
If last night was too intense and the hangover
is killing you, don’t worry, because today
our bus will be taking us to the airport in order
to board a domestic flight that will take us 800
km south of Santiago. You’ll have the chance
of contemplating the Pacific Ocean at your right
and the immense Cordillera de los Andes at your
left. We land in Temuco, from where we head directly
to Pucón, located in the lake and volcano
area. After settling in at our new Hotel, you’ll
have all the free time you desire. Our guides
will be always available in case you have any
questions or need information of any kind.
Days 6, 7, 8:
In Pucón, a station located at the feet
of the still active Villarica Volcano, we have
planned 3 days of activities for you. After breakfast,
we begin our day trying out some quite unusual
tracks. Just let go and enjoy this rare experience,
imagining that right underneath the snow you are
touching, flows a boiling hot river of lava! And
if you still have energy at the end of the day,
Pucón offers loads of different things
to do during the evening. Don’t hesitate
to ask your guide anything you need to know. At
night, this small town offers so many bars and
restaurants, you won’t be able to make up
your mind…. just look for the best vibe!
Day 9:
After breakfast our bus will take us up north,
to Termas de Chillán. The trip takes a
few hours and also allows you to contemplate the
beautiful Chilean landscape. At the end of the
day, we arrive at the city of Chillán,
where we can do some shopping at the local market
and take back home some genuine Chilean gifts!
From the market, we head of to our Hotel. This
one in particular offers you just what you’ll
be longing for after a long trip: private rustic
hot springs that will make you feel at home.
Days 10, 11, 12:
Termas de Chillán is a beautiful centre
that focuses more on freeriding. This is why even
though the nightlife isn’t very active,
connecting with nature and relaxing is nearly
inevitable. Our Hotel is ideal for chilling out
with your friends in a nice warm atmosphere; something
you’ll probable be craving for, after 10
days of intense activities. Still, if you’re
on the hyperactive side, we have prepared a few
diurnal and nocturnal surprises for you. Here
too, we offer you three daily meals, all of high
gastronomic quality.
We will spend 3 days in Chillán, enough
time to cover the entire centre and also, accompanied
by our guides, discover less frequented places.
This is one of the advantages of hiring us: we
know the place like the palm of our hand and know
exactly where to take you, without putting you
at risk!!!
Day 13:
Sad but true: we have finally reached the last
day of our intense adventure, full of new sensations
and fun. We take our bus back to Santiago, once
our starting point, now our finish line. You’ll
have time to settle in your Hotel and if you are
up for it, plan our last night in Chile: such
an amazing adventure calls for celebration!
Day 14:
After breakfast (if you manage to get up in time
after our wild last night in Chile!), we will
take you to the International Airport in time
to board your flight back home. Your trip with
Kost5 ends here. We wish you a safe flight back
home and hope to see you again soon!
