CHILE - PURE ANDES HELISKI/HELIBOARD

Overview

For those who wish to experience the immensity of the Andes and it's highest peaks, covered with exceptional powder, this heliski/board week has been specially organized for you. The Andes Mountains are the second highest peaks in the world and our camp base is located precisely on the highest spot of this range of mountains. Thanks to the continental climate and the height of these summits, the Andes offer snow of incredible quality (powder, very fine) and the best end-of-season conditions you'll find on this planet! Remember! You’ll be skiing in the highlands, surrounded by a wild environment, so don’t forget to stay open and receive everything Mother Nature (Pachamama) wishes to offer us.

You'll be accompanied by our highly experienced guides, who, most important of all, have been working for over 10 years in heliski/boarding industry. They sure know how to find the best snow conditions at all times!!! Without a doubt, they are the best guides you'll find throughout the Andes! In order to guarantee smooth flights and landings, our guides rely on the ¨Eurocopters B3¨, known to be the best helicopters for heliskiing/boarding. Plus, our pilots and guides know the area, it’s summits and the weather conditions like the palm of their hand. However, we must remind you that skiing and snowboarding in highland areas requires a certain level of experience, therefore this heliski/board week is reserved only for people with intermediate - advanced skiing/snowboarding skills

Terrain

Lo Valdés is considered the only ¨alpine¨ region in South America, located in the middle of spectacular snow covered area. We have found the best place you could imagine in the Chilean Cordillera. It exhales pure freedom and by plane, it lies only 5 minutes away from the chalet. It is clearly a magnificent spot, right in the middle of the Cordillera, where you'll find the most absolute tranquility, not to mention endless avenues of completely untracked powder.

Lo Valdés and its surroundings offer you the best freeride runs in Chile. Thanks to its geographical location (in the highest Chilean peaks) and its weather conditions, this place is all you could ever dream of!
At the end of long day of freeride runs, nothing feels better than soaking your body in the most delicious hot springs, located right in the middle of this magical landscape. Ideal for charging your batteries for the next day of intense freeride!

Most of the freeride runs take place between a base located in a 2300 altitude valley and the summits surrounding it, up to 4400 meters high. This means you’ll be able to enjoy a vertical distance for skiing and riding of 1500 to 2000 meters! This is one of the reasons why these camp bases are meant for people in good shape and with intermediate – advanced ski/snowboarding skills.

The places you’ll visit with our guides, will be chosen according to the physical capacities of the group, it’s skiing/snowboarding skills and the weather conditions at the time
